§  Dedicated, respected, and committed Trustee of the HCDSB for 30 years

§  Chair of the HCDSB for (5) years

§  Vice-Chair of the HCDSB for (9) years

§  Member of the Special Education Advisory Committee since its inception in 1985, including tenures as chair and vice-chair

§  Member of the Ontario Catholic Trustees Association Board of Directors for 6 years

§  Recipient of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees Association Award of Merit 

§  Member of the Canadian Education Association Board of Directors for 6 years and honorary life member

§  Member of the Oakville Prayer Breakfast Committee for more than 20 years

§  Member of the Board of Directors of the United Way (HCDSB rep) for 3 years

§  Planned and developed strategies to further articulate and strengthen Catholic Education such as:

o   Introduction of one of the province’s the first joint bussing programs with the Halton District School Board;

o   The development of one of the first mentoring programs in the province for new Catholic teachers; and

o   Construction of the first Catholic High School in Halton

§  Meets regularly with MPPs to ensure they understand current education issues and in particular the needs of publicly funded Catholic education in the Province of Ontario

§  A proven and effective liaison between the HCDSB and the Parishes through participating in Deanery meetings, meeting with individual Priests, and keeping the Bishop aware of Board activities
